That said, it's in Pudong so it's really not an attractive place to stay no matter how many stars or how "ultra luxurious" it is. The Jinjiang team managing it doesn't inspire confidence either.
I obviously share your views wrt both jinjiang and pudong, but I have to cioncede that flair at the rc is probably the nicest bar I've been to in Shanghai...extremely expensive, but damn nice!
