Do not underestimate traffic! Best selection if you actually need to be in L.A. would be found in Beverly Hills.

Thanks for your comment, RichardInSF. I plan on staying a few days in LA and a few days outside of LA, so traffic won't be an issue. Ideally I'd like to stay 5 days each in three different hotels.
