Well I am afraid, they did not fib and due all your respect, before you quote weather forecasts, from wherever you get them from, you may want to check the facts.
Strong gusts are affecting the south East restricting take off and landings at LHR and LGW, causing major delays and a severe weather warning has been issued for the rest of the evening.

If I was given a quid every time I was told "I phoned my friend in xxx and the weather is fine, so why are you lying to me?" I would not have to work anymore
