I have an upcoming flight (in about three weeks) on MU from KIX - DXB wth a one-night layover in PVG. Its difficult for me to call MU right now as I'm outside my home country (USA) and will be until after the flight.

I tried the above steps. On the English-language version of the website, it finds my valid reservation but I can't select seats (there is no option to do this). On the Chinese-language version the very same input information leads to an error message (which I assume means it can't locate my reservation).

After using Google translate, the explanatory text in Chinese above the error message seems to indicate that it might only be possible to select seats online for some routes (domestic, Japan, Hong Kong, etc). Has anyone gotten these steps to work for a long-haul flight?
