I called and the CSR didn't seem to know about this new benefit. Seems like the article's comment section and the thread on Flyertalk have not confirmed this new benefit either.
I find it pretty irresponsible to post something like that without offering the online source or link. Also noticed that TPG didn't respond to comments asking for clarification and/or confirmation. TPG should either take the post down or confirm.
