I just realized too late that Dragon Air or Cathay may ask for my credit card (which I no longer have). I've read on the internet that foreign countries often ask for the credit card as a fraud measure before allowing boarding. I just called the credit card company to see if they could reissue the card but they said it's past the window where they could reissue the card. So I am worried about being stuck in Cambodia since I don't have the credit card. Any ideas on what to do? I've got a couple of months until I take the flight.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Call CX and explain the situation and ask if you can provide alternative proof to them prior to the trip so they won't need to check the credit card on check-in. Maybe they'll accept an old statement for the card if you produce in person with photo id in their office.
