The quoted price is nearly double the 'regular taxi' fare

...Turns out they have a Dodge Charger at the Hilton Waterfalls

Here is the pricelist for hotel transfers, after looking at other private transfer services, they are roughly in line with what other operators offer. A local taxi can be haggled for around 50 EGY, but that is with a LOT of haggling. And sometimes some dodgy driving and demands for an extra 100EGY. So 175 EGY isnt bad from Hilton. I have been gouged much worse in Thailand and Goa before.

Prices from TA (see above)

• Medium size car for maximum 3 persons at the cost of 175 EGP.

• Mercedes E250 for maximum 3 persons at the cost of 350 EGP.

• Mercedes S-class for maximum 3 persons at the cost of 450 EGP.

• Dodge Charger for maximum 3 persons at the cost of 350 EGP.

• Town Country Chrysler for maximum 5 persons at the cost of 350 EGP.

• Kia Carnival minivan for maximum 5 persons at the cost of 350 EGP.

N.B. Please note that the above mentioned prices are per car per way.
