So, I booked flights (through work) using the preferred provider - Qantas.

Qantas is definitely in One World - tick.

Of course Qantas has the Emirates hook up, so heading back down under, out of LGW and I check in at Emirates. It says Emirates on the boarding card, not Qantas.

I fancied sampling the BA lounge as I've checked out the Emirates one already. I'm Sapphire on One World so I figured I should get access. BUT, more fool me, I'm flying Emirates so as it is not One World, the BA man said 'no way Jose' and off I went to the Emirates lounge. (Which is very nice, but not as good showers :-( )

But given that I'd booked Qantas - just because it's Emirates metal - does that mean I don't get my One World privileges? It seems so.

Very confusing. Keen to hear thoughts from folks?
