I had the exact same problem this week - turns out when it got passed over my first name and middle name were both in the same field - try putting in your confirmation number with firstmiddle as your first name (no space) to see if that solves it.
Agree with the audio quality issue mentioned below, although Virgin answered quickly and were helpful I could barely understand what they were saying between low quality and loud conversations in the background.
