The wiki gives some ideas, and the last few pages will give you some current options and offers. The cheapest way to do it is whilst in the USA, but there are other options in Europe and Asia.

Have a think about whether it is worth it, that's quite a long way short of Gold, which kind of suggests you won't get as much use of it as others, furthermore the concept of a soft landing to Silver is currently unconfirmed (though your pattern of travel may be OK from what I see).
