I haven't flown WS much in a few years, but I'd suspect it's to do with the different types of people flying. WS crowd much more of a leisure crowd, happy to be going on holiday. AC has some leisure, but a lot of business people who are grumpy about being in the back of the plane, could be suffering from DYKWIA-ism, etc.
