I have been 55K SL for years in the old days (5000K short, never bother to mileage run to GO), and they've never up me early when I write and ask about it.

Unpublished benefits may be something like higher op-up order, slightly better treatment from CC during flight, greeting from cabin head, but other than that, the published differences are major enough for you to go after it.
