The last time I considered it, people basically said that it was just a converted ES/HS, that there was no lounge, not a real breakfast, and that I should stay just about anywhere else. First, none of the US Conrads have Executive Lounges, so if you are used to the lavish Conrad lounges abroad, the lack of any probably makes it feel more Spartanesque. In fact, I think if you are used to nicer international Conrads, you would probably be disappointed with the US Conrads in general, much the way we see dismayed comments from foreign clients about the state of domestic Hilton ELs. Second, while it really suits me (and apparently a few others on here), I could see if you like a more personal, boutique feel, then you might not take to it (aka are you looking for that Andaz Fifth Avenue feel downstair).
