If you do decide to land yourself, and you don't want to carry your bag into town, there is a left luggage facility on the arrivals level where you could store your bag. When you exit from customs, turn right and walk towards the far (north) end of the building, and it'll be on your right somewhere closer to domestic arrivals. If you only have 6½ hours between flights, I have some doubts about whether you could safely see all of a football match in town - although it may be that being there for only part of the match will be a problem. Much depends on exact timings.
