Why on earth would you compare like that? The new Pixel has USB-C AND two USB-A ports. Even though they sell it, I don't ever see anyone needing more than those two ports. On the new Macbook you absolutely need the adapter, otherwise you don't have ANY USB-A's.
Bottom line, Apple still messed up by removing all the ports. Form over function as usual.
