I arrived on Dec 25 and left on Jan 3. I was told that my Diamond status gave me only the VIP room for check in and a choice between the free breakfast and a discount on the full buffet.

Still, I cannot complain too much as:

1. I was guaranteed the Paradise Tower in advance.

2. My casino host comped my room in advance as well as giving me 4 show tickets, two $50 discounts for dinners in their better restaurants, free spa visit, a waiver of my resort fees and $200 in slot play.

3. There was a giant basket of chocolates and other goodies waiting for me in my room as well as 10 bottles of water and 6 bottles of Coke.

4. I did not upgrade the wi fi as it worked very well with the freebie version.

5. I ate the full buffet breakfast daily and had a few meals in the food court. I also order more Coke from room service. These were charged to my room but comped at check out. The only things I wound up paying for were some small items I bought in the hotel shop.

All of this was based on my gambling record at the Trop (this was my fourth stay), not on my Diamond status. I am far from being a giant player and doubt that I would have gotten as much from any other Vegas hotel.
