Thanks for the correction. I recalled more, but was obviously mistaken.
I have friends who live there and have visited them. They live outside the tourist area so I did go off the reservation. Indeed, like any big city there are a wide range of people, but as a 'country' I still stand behind the concept that Singapore is an outlier and difficult to compare to any other place in the world.
