New Amsterdam has nice citrusy notes that work well with tonic. But it would be awful in a martini. I love Plymouth in a martini.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that notices that citrus taste. I find it tastes more like an orange creme hard candy though. I honestly can't stand New Amsterdam gin, but it is inexpensive and smooth. I'll have to give it another shot with some tonic.
