Maybe horrible is too harsh. But it's not good food and the OP should not decide on a $119 x 4 upgrade based on the food. Even subtracting some bags fees, you could buy a gourmet feast to bring on board for your family in coach for less than half that price. Sure, you may have to buy down one level on the caviar .

Again, I'd buy the upgrades, but I put $0 value on the food. Lots better in airports for $10/person and you get something you know the kids will actually eat vs. The tandoori chicken and rice I had on my last flight.
