If you are traveling by yourself or even with just one have you considered getting just a full size with a fold-down rear seat? You can easily put the skis in without limiting the front seat comfort. Even a suv you could do that to avoid their $18 day ski rack fee. BTW, they should have ski racks on hand to install I've watched them do it and it takes less than 5 mins-don't fall for the upsell.
