Cost Plus here does singles but the cost can be quite a bit higher than $2. Again, if it looks risky but I just might like it, I'll spend the $3-5.
I'm taking fewer chances these days at the packy, but more at the bar. At one of my favorite locals, there are 65 ever-changing taps. Every time I think I've tried them all, there's a couple new ones.
I cleaned out the beer pantry over Christmas and threw out 9 bottles that I couldn't choke down. That hurt.
Ouch.
Generally, the fruit-flavored stuff is a non-starter for me. But, I did buy the Banana Bread beer 4-pack recently and I enjoyed it, so that was a lucky break. I'm more of an ale guy, and I haven't had too many bad IPAs, pale ales, red ales, brown ales, and the like. Recently, and probably seasonally, I've gotten into more stouts, especially the coffee and chocolate varieties. I've had a few chocolate ones that were a challenge to finish, but I did the job! I also had a few Kentucky bourbon barrel brews that didn't float my boat, but I finished those off, too.
