If you were in that terminal the whole time it would probably work in your favor as NRT is a station which stamps the BP to show that access is permitted and returning to the club with a stamped BP generally gets one in without further credential verification.
Thanks for the info! I didn't even realize there might be airside terminals I can't access. Is there a way to find out for sure?

If I really can't use United, I think I should buy an Admirals lounge pass then. 12 hours is a pretty long layover and I'd love a shower.
