Similar to ajj1983, I too completed my 10L spending in the first week of November. I received the 50,000 bonus points within 2 weeks, but my AI status was never upgraded to Gold. I have placed multiple complaints at the SBI call center and email care team ([email protected]) , and also written multiple emails to the Nodal officer about this unresolved issue.

Every 15 days, I am given a new deadline 15 days further out, and this has been going on since mid November. I am told that Tier Upgrade is on hold from Air India due to Technical issue, and same response is repeated every other week by a different set of care agents or the Nodal officer team.

I have flown approx. 15 flights on AI on Domestic and International routes since November, and I feel extremely annoyed that I still can't get the Gold benefits while traveling, despite having met the 10L spending requirement almost 3 months ago.

One of managers at Air India Flying Returns informs me that there is no technical holdup from AI's side, and that SBI has not yet sent them a confirmation that my account is eligible to be upgraded from Silver to Golden Edge. Yet nobody at SBI is willing to send out that note to AI seeking this tier upgrade.

I was hoping that getting the Nodal Officer involved will help drive this to closure, but unfortunately that has not happened. It is amazing how emails to the Nodal officer mailbox go unanswered for a week or two at a stretch. Extremely appalling service by SBI!

Is there anybody else who has got their tier upgraded to Golden Edge since November? Do any of you have any suggestions on how to expedite this or resolve this?

Due to this careless attitude by everybody at SBI, I am considering canceling this card before it comes up for renewal next month.
