Has anyone done the Goodwood Festival of Speed? I will be in the area just long enough to catch one day, but it's Thursday. I don't think any of the racing happens that day so is it worth going? Are all the display cars out?

Goodwood is definitely one of the premier events to go to. If I had to move mountains to get an extra day of viewing, it would be well worth it. Thursday is the "Moving Motor Show" which is basically a huge auto show where you show up and can demo drive cars.
So do what you can, and do Friday and do Saturday.
