If you want to split hairs, here is what people will say:
- All planes have guaranteed lie-flat seats except the LH 744
- If you are connecting onward, FRA is the worst; MUC and ZRH are nice
- EWR is horribly prone to delays, followed by ORD; IAD is your best option
- Food and service are better on LH
- If you end up in a "P" fare LH will not reward you as much as UA
- IFE is better on UA
- Since it seems like you are double connecting, consider LX, AC's 787s and OS's 777, too

Ultimately, I'm heading to IST. Unfortunately, I will be restricted on some options due to my corporate travel policy. For example, there's a direct flight on TK from IAD to IST, but for reasons that allude me, it's outside policy.
