Just be careful when you go to use the gift card, it should not exceed 25% of the fare or the travel insurance that comes with the Visa card will be invalidated.

Both TD and CIBC Aeroplan Visa Infinite/Infinite Privilege require at least 75% of the fare be charged to the Visa to activate the travel insurance coverage.

Amex requires 100%.
