I found the competing rate on ctrip...
When you look at the competing rate does it say anything about it being sold out/on request? If so, you are SOL. If not, call the BRG number and ask politely. I was denied for the same reason (among other reasons for other claims). Every time I call I get a human who says "huh, I don't know why that was rejected..."
I think out of 6 BRG claims this week, 5 were initially rejected and 1 was initially approved. Eventually all 6 were approved.
