Haven't done this yet and my DD will have to buy one for me in participating state. Don't want to put her through needless stress with employees unfamiliar with the card and/or the process.

For what it's worth, I've had nothing but truly easy and pleasant transactions. FYI, I don't do $2500 on a single swipe. I do 3 swipes ($999, $998 and $503) on three different cards.
