Domestic flight, then ID that is not expired by more than one year is rather frequently accepted by the TSA without any issue beside the normal ones for non-expired ID. I wouldn't expect anything worse than not being allowed to use PreCheck and perhaps having a standard kind of screening that TSA haraSSSSment subjects get at US airports.

You should be fine, unless in the unlikely event that some airline rep makes a fuss about it -- highly unlikely since they usually don't check that closely.

I've flown on ID that was expired by nearly a year. I had no issue with the TSA or airline even as it was mentioned as having expired. My valid identity doesn't change with the expiration date of some printed object.
