Also if the fare was a deep discount economy fare (S, T, L, A, K), you may be in for an unpleasant surprise on mileage earning. See

I booked through UA.com but had to check-in on AC.com and they let me select a seat. I guess I got lucky!
I saw that with the award miles, which does make me nervous. That chart is a bit confusing since there are two STLAK sections. I'm assuming I'll get 100% of my award miles since my itinerary states "Upon completion of this itinerary, you will earn up to 5,394 award miles.*" Although there is that asterisk. I have fare type L on both the UA site and AC site. I feel like this is actually bad news...
