I'm not sure if this is the right board to be posting this in (wasn't sure if it should be here or Travelbuzz? I'm a newbie here ), but I'll give it a go! We are planning a trip to NYC from Australia in Dec 2015 - will be our third time - over xmas and NYE. We are then wanting to go *somewhere* for approx five days on our way home to go skiing/boarding. At the moment we are considering Park City/Vail/Aspen.

I'm basically wondering if anyone is travelling from JFK (open to other airports) to Aspen in early Jan and what the prices were like? Obviously the prices for this coming Jan have already increased, so I'm hoping to hear from people who booked a little earlier, or have experience booking this route.

I know Park City/SLC is probably our best option in terms of flights from JFK and transfer times to the village, but I want to give Aspen a chance if the flights won't be too ridiculous!
