IMHO if you show your inbound QF B/Pass and EXP card you would be admitted to the AC (same day international arrival, right?). Just book a longer connection and have a drink or two at the Admirals Club - problem solved
EDIT - sorry - just looked at your profile - you are also AC member - so no need to show the inbound B/Pass
