That said, the concept of a middle seat in very cramped long haul business class is insane, unless there is a big fare difference.

First world problems I suppose.
Couldn't agree more on the rear facing.

The middle seat thing is interesting. It really is bizarre when you sit in it and eat a meal. Don't feel like you're in business class at all. But put on the eyeshades, put in the earplugs, fold out the bed, and I get a great sleep in them. And that's the part that matters to me, so ultimately that 2-4-2 middle seat is better than the vast majority of the pmCO seats for me.

Did have an amusing experience returning from FRA earlier this year. German gentleman was next to me, both of us in the middle of the 4. Me on a last-gasp upgrade, him on a full fare ticket apparently. He found his seat and started cursing away. "I paid for business class, why are you giving me an economy seat? And this seat is backwards" Didn't let up till they moved him to a forward facing aisle after a no-show. Guessing he'll be flying angled-flat on LH next time...

Good points. I tend to be a side sleeper as well, and can't stand the pmUA 777 C seats...just feel too cramped, plus there's barely any personal-storage room.
Fair point. I'm a touch over 6'2" and size 13. I tend to sleep fully stretched out, and there simply isn't enough length on the 764 at all, and on the 2-class 777 while the bulkhead is awesome, the other seats are a struggle. On the 3-class 777 and 747 on the other hand I sleep beautifully (except on the 747 upper deck sadly, where the seats are shorter).
