London to Gatwick - wee hours 1st January
I'm departing LGW at 6:15am on the 1st January but now I have information that contradicts that given on the journey planners:
--------------------------------
Wednesday 1 January
Trains were planned to run between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport via Horsham but are unable to because of a landslip
Trains between Purley and Gatwick Airport will not run.
Trains will run between London Victoria and East Grinstead.
Buses will run between East Grinstead and Gatwick Airport and Three Bridges. Connections for trains to Brighton and the coast should be made at Three Bridges.
Buses will run between Coulsdon Town and Redhill.
No Southern service will run between Epsom, Dorking and Horsham. Customers may use South West Trains between Epsom and Dorking. Buses will also run between Leatherhead and Dorking.
Journey times may be extended by up to 90 minutes.
---------------------------------
Anyone know what route I should be taking (and how much it might cost)?
I live within walking distance of St Pancras International/Kings Cross and the Camden stations, usually it is a spectacularly simple, fast and relatively cheap journey, when I booked the tickets the information given was that the Gatwick Express would be running. I will be travelling alone with a 5 year old, hence the increased desire to get it right.
