If one were to sign up for the "Platinum" membership, and pay the $12.95 "charter member" fee per month, is my "miles math" correct in that you will get 16,000 miles for less than a penny each after the first year?? This calculation takes into account the 1,000 sign up bonus, the 2,500 after 4 months, 5,000 after 8 months, and 7,500 after 12. Assuming they are in business that long, just going by the "bonus miles" alone it's a good deal. This doens't even factor in earnings through the "milebar".
If anyone sees it differently, please pass along ur thoughts. You hafta be one of the first 2,500 to sign up as a charter platinum member for this to work out that way, tho. I'd be interested to hear others' thoughts.
