The fact that a GA or FA may be forced to rearrange a bit does not equate to seat selection for an E fare. The vast majority of these situations are dealt with in a low-key and non-contentious manner. And always have been.
Good Point. Most cases are probably easily handled. There are a lot of tough talkers here, but when it comes down to it, if you are seated next to someone elses 2 year old, you are going to move when the parent/FA/GA asks you to or face immense public lashing from others on the plane!
