I just got off of HAL (part of Carnival) and you were able to charge $2000.00 a day to your room card. I didn't do the max but I did do $4500. over the cruise and before I disembarked I went to the cashier window and got the cash. I of course had to pay the ship bill for the casino charge plus a few other charges but as I put it on a cashback card I got that back.
I am going on Princess this month and already confirmed that you can charge $3000.00 a day, $21,000 a week to your cabin charge. There is NO charge for this. You again can do this by loading your room card at the slot machines. You are not forced to play, you can simply load the card to the max per day and then cash out the card at the end of the cruise. I don't have any intention to do the max but its nice to know its available
If you play at the Craps table they do charge a cash advance but loading onto your key card at the slots does not incur a cash advance fee.
Now Crystal Cruise on the other hand used to give you $300. per person per day in CASH and charge it to your room. They now have stopped that and if you get cash from the casino cashier there is a service fee.
