LAX to YYZ in J a week ago Sunday on the 763 we were in the first dozen or so to walk off at gate 70, super fast people mover seemed to get us to the customs hall in about 5 minutes, ~15 minutes there, and we were at the carousel for barely 5 minutes when the alarm went off.

Very sporadic non-priority bags came out in the first couple minutes. Then priority bags started showing up mixed in among the others. All together, we waited probably 5 minutes (tops) for our 3 bags.

That pretty much describes every other experience I've had picking up my luggage at YYZ over the last decade.

For me, it's never as bad as expected.
