Every bank has there issues. I have been with chase for about 3 years without a hitch. They continually offer me 0% transfers, and I don't even ask them, they offer them to me. I even received a solicitation from Chase for a 0% card, I called them and told them I already had a card and wanted that rate on that card (even though a 0% rate for a year had just expired) and the lady called me back three times and got the rate put on,I had to do a transfer to initiate it.
I am impressed with Chase and their CS people. Never had a charge denied and had to call them on the spot. Have with some other cards, and they have always approved it with a few questions.
Being a victim of fraud numerous times, believe me, they are protecting you (and themselves) by placing a hold on your account. You may not have to pay, but you have to "prove" through affidavits and numerous phone calls that you did not make the charge. Than you have your credit report to straighten out. It can be very time consuming, especially if your identity is stolen.
