Please let me ask this in a bit more detail.

Since I can get two sectors if two different tickets and/or different class, I plan to book CX 451 for NRT-TPE and then TPE-HKG.

Both will be on different tickets. NRT-TPE will be in J and TPE-HKG in Y.

So, what happens when I check in at NRT? Of course, I assume I will get two boarding passes because I am in different classes (assuming no upgrade). Then, do I have to get off the plane in TPE and then go through transfer and then get back on again? What if the flight is delayed into TPE and they do not let anyone off for transfer purposes (this has happened before). So, how would they scan my boarding pass for the second sector?

Or, can I just stay on board, even with two different boarding passes and then walk back from the J to the Y cabin when in TPE?
