Upgrade success rate on that flight is extremely poor from what I hear. It is the only nonstop SFO-CDG, at all! High demand for paid premium cabin travel (business and "leisure" -- Paris attracts well heeled kind of "leisure traveler").

I can hardly remember the last time I cleared a GPU from the waitlist, without spotting an R1 and calling. Does anyone think I would hurt my chances for the 25 Dec upgrade by pulling my GPUS for about 2 weeks?

Thanks for your thoughts.
Xmas-day might be a chance, most paid travelers have travel date choice.
