Good luck with getting anything out of this! Originally, this was a simple 261 covered delay for which you could have collected. But grace to being proactive you added a complexity to the issue which a small claims court will never be able to deal with.
I'd let it slide at this stage - given the considerable contribution of yours to the situation - but if you know a good lawyer and have tons of patience ... why not create a precedence?
