I'd say it depends on your goals. I've thought about getting the Barclaycard Arrival Plus™ World Elite MasterCard® because you effectively get 2.2% (=$77 for spending $3500) on every purchase when redeemed for travel or 2% (=$70 for spending $3,500) when redeemed for anything else. Your rent and other bills won't fall into the special categories to get rewards multipliers on Marriott Rewards or AAdvantage.

Rather than looking for a card to meet spending limits on just for the sake of using a credit card, look for the card you can use which meets your goals and then you could use your rent to fulfill the requirement. If you don't really have any goals or needs, don't spend $37/month just to get random rewards you have no plan on using.
