Chase's new language is that you don't qualify for a new card bonus if you have received the same or similar bonus within the past 24 months. So in theory you should be able to cancel your new SWA card anytime and apply for a new one and get the bonus.
Still, I would cancel the account immediately to avoid receiving any RR Visa card that you didn't apply for. Please report your results on getting the 50k which I presume you want to delay earning until 2015 for Companion Pass purposes.
