The city is not that far. It would be better and cheaper to stay in town near the sights and dining options. And I would only recommend the IBIS at the bus station if you plan to use the Tur airport bus as it is not the best area to stay as a tourist. If you will cab in and out, then you can stay in Providencia, Bellavista, Las Condes or Centro.
