I'm curious about how many times your tried. My visit 2 days ago, I tried $500, and failed. Tried it again, and lo and behold it loaded. Lately when my Kate is working, it takes an average of 2.5 swipes to load a OV. So maybe 3 failed swipes in a row, but maybe also a successful load on the first try. Yes, if you try 10 times with no success, I say either go to $49.99, or go home and try another day. But just one swipe doesn't tell you anything about whether Kate accepting OVs that day or not.
+1. Loaded 4 OVs to Serve yesterday ($500 each) - 3 out of the 4 worked first swipe, the other took three tries before it went through. There's no rhyme or reason to it, they have an intermittent processing error with Bancorp that hasn't been fixed. The annoying part is that it announces that debit load failed twice for every fail.
