Is there any documentation that CC sign-up offers do not qualify for transfer? If so, the 50k sign-up bonus seems pretty useless. There is no mention of this restriction in the TYP CC thread.
The statement above is overbroad & partially incorrect as a result.
From the Citi TYP site:
6. Can all ThankYouŽ Points be transferred?
No, taxable points and points that are made unavailable for redemption due to signs of fraud, abuse or suspicious activity in your ThankYou Member Account or due to your failure to make the required minimum payment due on your participating CitiŽ credit card account by the payment due date are not eligible for Points Transfer. Taxable points are points received for a Citibank checking relationship, points obtained through activity unrelated to purchases made with your eligible Citi credit card, as well as bonus points that may be awarded with no spend requirements such as opening new Citi accounts or for signing up for new credit card account services.
