Not sure how the author's misunderstanding or miscommunication re Internet connectivity invalidates a personal review of an airline experience? It's an airline review, not a Gizmodo article.
Perhaps the author doesn't own an iPad and made an incorrect assumption. Or perhaps the author miscommunicated and intended to convey that connecting to WiFi in the airport wasn't possible for some reason.
Regardless, who cares. The review is consistent with the vast, vast majority of reviews that are out there.
