Basically, for Wanna Get Away fares, 70 points equals $1 of pretax fare. So if it is a $200 flight before taxes it will be 14,000 points. For Anytime fares (refundable) the ratio is 100 and for Business Select it is 120 points. Apart from that the ratio used to be 60 points instead of 70:$1, I prefer the new system. Yes, it now takes about 5-6 round trips to get a free flight vs a flat 4 before, but every single seat is now available for redemption. I fly last minute a lot an so rack up tons of Business Select points. As long as I book a rewards flight a week or so in advance I can get a decent fare.
