If you fly one day later, it would still be at 10:25 am, right? So you would still need to go to the airport early? IMO DL is likely to let you rebook to ONE day later, but not more.

On a more expensive ticket, there could be changes that would avoid early morning, such as taking a KE flight to NRT and connecting there or even using KE/CZ/MU to go through PVG or PEK, but you're unlikely to be rebooked onto another carrier.
